CNN’s Jim Acosta finally asks a legitimate question
During a COVID-19 daily briefing, CNN’s Jim Acosta finally asked a legitimate question: “If they (medical experts) come to you before May the 1st and say the country is not ready or huge parts of the country are not ready to open on May the 1st, will you listen to them?”
It has been well reported that the President wants the United States to open as soon as possible. May 1st has been reportedly set as the date to get things moving, but when pressed by Acosta the President said he will listen to the medical experts.
Fortunately, we know the President realizes this is the biggest and most difficult decision he will ever have to make. He said: “I don’t know that I’ve had a bigger decision. But I’m going to surround myself with the greatest minds. Not only the greatest minds but the greatest minds in numerous different businesses, including the business of politics and reason.”
By bringing business into the consideration, it’s clear the President won’t just be listening to Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx.
The President continued: “We’re going to make a decision, and hopefully it’s going to be the right decision. I will say this. I want to get it (the country) open as soon as we can.”
When asked about how he’ll make a final decision, the President pointed to his head. It’s not a decision anyone would be envious of.

Treasury Secretary Mnuchin positive about May
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin was asked on CNBC’s Squawk on the Street whether he felt it was possible to reopen the economy in May, he answered: “I do.”
It’s unlikely to be an immediate end of the lockdown but it could be the starting point in a plan, with dates throughout May and perhaps June decreasing lockdown limitations.
This process will have to be gradual because the President has to watch how the plan impacts COVID-19 infections and deaths. Dr. Tom Frieden, a former head of the CDC said: “What we are going to have to do is loosen the tap gradually, not open the flood gates.”
Not everyone shares Mr. Mnuchin’s positive outlook. The city and county of Los Angeles has already extended the lockdown to May 15.

Dr. Fauci predicted outbreak in 2017
Dr. Fauci, the government’s top infectious disease expert warned in 2017 that an outbreak would occur during President Trump’s administration. He warned, more needed to be done to prepare against a pandemic.
The infectious disease expert said: “There is no question that there will be a challenge to the coming administration in the arena of infectious diseases.” The speech was titled Pandemic Preparedness in the Next Administration and was made at Georgetown University Medical Center, January 20, 2017.
Let us hope Dr. Fauci’s predictions end there because right now he is talking up identity cards for those who are immune to COVID-19. Considering we don’t have cards proving we have antibodies for other illnesses, having an immunity card for COVID-19 sounds like another method of government tracking. This is something many American citizens could end up protesting over.
